May 29th – June 4th 2017

Hello beautiful people!
Just to know what I am up to: I am writing my review of Bon Iver’s show I’ve been to on Friday, so expect a post about it this week!

Today’s song is a bit different from what I usually recommend, but for some reason I really like it.
The title is Hold Me, by Tors.

Tors is an indie-folk band from Devon, London, with only 3 singles out, but very promising so far.
The structure of this song is very “cliche”, but in a good way. Acoustic guitar accompanied by a bass guitar resonate at the beginning, being then cut off by the warm and interesting voice of the singer Matthew Weedon, with his brother Theo.

The chorus gets very cozy, welcoming, reflecting perfectly the main path of folk music.
The inspirations are clearly bands like The KooksImagine Dragons, and why not, Trains.

I am curious to hear more, and I was pleasantly surprised by this breakthrough young band, since as you know I am not very fond of folk music.

I hope you enjoy this song of the week,
always spread love xx
