April 30th 2017

Okay okay, I am super late also today. It’s 11:56 pm so hopefully I will write this before midnight.

Anyway, today’s Song Of The Day is Wanderlust, by the Australian song-writer RY X, whose real name is Ry Cuming.

The song opens with his vibrant and intense voice, accompanied just by a nostalgic piano. And it goes on and on, with discordant jazz chords, with very low notes, and his voice that transports you in the middle of the ocean with tears in your eyes because you’ve been staring at the sun for too long. How important are pauses in this song? They are indispensable. They contribute to grow a tension that tears your heart apart.

“Boy and girl, and girl meets God.”

always spread love xx
